The Michigan International Gay Rodeo Association (M.I.G.R.A.) is proud to announce our Greater Motown International Rodeo, which will be held in June, 2010.  The rodeo events will be held at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Belleville, Michigan.  The host Hotel for the rodeo is the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites, which is located within walking distance of the rodeo grounds in Belleville.  M.I.G.R.A. is working very hard to produce the Greater Motown International Rodeo, which will raise much needed funds for various charities throughout the state of Michigan.

 

This event IS the largest gay and lesbian Country and Western festival in the Great Lakes Region, including Ontario, Canada.  We invite you to be a part of this exciting event by joining the sponsors and benefactors of our rodeo.  A variety of opportunities are available to you through our sponsorship program.  By advertising in our Rodeo program, sponsoring award buckles and promotional items, thousands of spectators and contestants will be exposed to your firm’s products and services.

has 28 member associations across the United States and Canada.  IGRA is the second largest rodeo-sanctioning organization in the United States with a total membership of over 3,000. With an average total of 20 rodeos a year, IGRA continues working to bring the great American tradition of rodeo to new and diverse audiences.

 

M.I.G.R.A., itself, is a rapidly growing organization and since it’s birth in 1994 has increased membership over 100%.  Since we are a 501c3 non-profit organization, all net proceeds raised by the organization are donated to designated community organizations.  The success of the 2010 rodeo and our ability to contribute even more to charity depends on the support of businesses and organizations like yours!

Please fill out this information (Part I and Part II) and return with full payment to M.I.G.R.A. at the address above no later than, June 1, 2010. Applications accepted on a first come basis, so please get your completed application turned in as soon as possible. The Wayne County Fairgrounds has a RV area for camping with hookups for water, electricity and sewage.

 

Date & Time:             Saturday, June 26 and Sunday, June 27, 2010. 9 AM until 5 PM (approximately) each day.

 

Categories:

 

Commercial Sales      $150.00 single space Non-Profit:

                                     $50.00 single space (open area, no tent provided).

 

Food/Beverage:                 Any vendor other than the Food Vendor selected by M.I.G.R.A. cannot sell food or beverage(s).

 

Space Size:                        The space allocated to vendors is a 10'x8' section and includes a table and two chairs. Additional tables are $10. 00 each and chairs are $5 each. A fee of $10.00 will be charged if Vendor requires electrical hook-up.

 

Placement:                      M.I.G.R.A. reserves the right to place all vendors according to a master plan. Cancellation by a vendor based on dissatisfaction with space assignment will not be grounds for a refund of fees. Assignment will be made as applications are returned. All Vendors are required to keep their spaces clean throughout the rodeo weekend.

 

Vending:                         Vendors may conduct business only inside their rented booth and in its immediate vicinity. No vendor may conduct business by “strolling” through the rodeo grounds. M.I.G.R.A. reserves the right to require any vendor to remove from display and immediately cease selling or distributing any item that could be deemed as inappropriate and/or that might cause a disturbance. Discriminatory (i.e., Sexist, racist, homophobic, inappropriate for children, etc. ) materials will not be permitted.

 

Permits & Licenses:      Vendors are required to obtain, pay for and assume any liability for any and all permits and licenses that may be required by the Wayne County Fairgrounds, Wayne County, and/or the State of Michigan. On the day of setup, all non-profit vendors will have to provide a copy of their 501(c)3 status letter and a copy of the Nonprofit corporation papers. Resalers must provide a copy of their Resale License. All items must be turned in to the Treasurer of M.I.G.R.A.

 

Sales Tax:                      Vendors who sell any item that is subject to Michigan Sales Tax must assume all responsibility and liability for collection of sales tax on items sold and subsequent payment to the State of Michigan.

 

Cancellation:                  Prior to June 25, 2005, once an application is accepted by M.I.G.R.A., a vendor may cancel by notifying M.I.G.R.A. in writing. Refunds are dependent upon the resale of the booth space. Refunds will not be granted for cancellation notices received after June 1, 2010.

Two (2) weekend passess per booth space will be provided. All other assistant(s) are required to purchase tickets. M.I.G.R.A. operating as the producer of GMIR 2010 accepts no liability in the loss or damage ,either by theft or act of God, to any merchandise, fixtures, literature and/or personal property belonging to any and all Vendors. Vendors should understand that this liability and responsibility lies solely with them.
