Royalty Competition

Our 2010 Royalty (below, after the competition and judging forms) will soon end his reign. He has done a wonderful job representing MIGRA to the public and has raised money for charity.

It is time to prepare for the 2011 Royalty Competition. Already? Yes, that's right ... already! This will allow candidates ample time to host one fundraiser prior to the competition; and plenty of time to gather their western wear, and practice, practice, praaack-tiss their talent program.

The Royalty Competition will be on November 6th, 2010 at the R & R Saloon in the afternoon for the interview segment. For the night segments of Western Wear, Public Presentation and Entertainment, we will move to the Hayloft Saloon.

The deadline for all Royalty applications is October 23, 2010.

What Does MIGRA's Royalty Team Do?

On behalf of the Michigan International Gay Rodeo Association, the MIGRA Royalty Team is the prime source of raising money to fund a number of charities. They also create revenue to assist in operating MIGRA and accomplish all of this through a variety of methods such as car washes, corporate donations, and entertaining.

2010 Royalty

Mr. MIGRA 2010, "Garth" (Mike) gavestellar singing performances at the Royalty Competition in November of 2009. He has since spent his time out in the circuit and community promoting MIGRA and raising money for charity.

Each year MIGRA chooses charities to support with donations. This year, the Royalty Team chose two very deserving organizations: the Matthew Shepard Foundation and Mr. Friendly.  For more information, visit their websites.
